A friend of mine brought of the book “House of Leaves” by Mark Danielewski. She said she doesn’t know anyone who has finished this book, including herself. Well, if you know anything about me, you know that I can’t resist a challenge like that. I once slogged through “Infinite Jest” despite the fact that I thought every word of that book was a bunch of high-falutin’ intellectual drivel. When I finished that book, I ripped out several of its pages and ritualistically burned them on our grill while cooking hot dogs.

It took me over a year, but I did it.

I don’t know how long it will take me to read “House of Leaves” but I will get through it. Mark my words.
