Last night was my book club get-together to discuss “Gone Girl.” Of the four of us who made it, one hadn’t read the book, and one really disliked it. I think I was the most enthused with this book. I stand by that.
Our next pick was my choice, and I debated between a few. I proposed:
The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot
This one I chose for selfish reasons: namely because I have already started reading it and this would kill two birds with one stone, so to speak.
I have this downloaded for my Kindle and I’ll get around to reading it, one of these days …
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
I thought with the movie coming out soon it would be a good time to re-read this Classic. Also, it’s an alternate on my Back to the Classics challenge, so this will give me another notch in that belt.
Turns out my book club went with option #3, and our next meeting will be to discuss the Great Gatsby! I am looking forward to reading this again. I read it in high school and I couldn’t tell you one thing about it.
